A Sampling of 'Unlabled Fantasy' Prologue

Title: Unlabeled Fantasy
Written by: Hdogg and MadeYe

~*~*~

This forgotten tale of love and heroics begins in an ancient land so very far away from our own. Where magic thrived and demons roamed the earth. People lived in terror throughout the day and night. Nothing was safe from the prowling fiends of the land, the lurking thieves that were behind every corner, and the scheming magicians that plagued the land with famine, disease, and hunger.
But in the midst of this chaos, four guardians rose to over come the odds and save the people of the ancient land. Four unlikely heros they were. A master of the Earth, a sorceress, an archer, and a shape shifter rose together to defeat wickedness that spread throughout the land.

They rid the land of the demons and fiends with swordplay and magic. They banished the magicians and their ways. And soon, the land was peaceful and plentiful with food. The people, plants, and animals were all thriving and in high spirits.
The guardians were satisfied and they hung up their weapons and lived a peaceful life. Until the dark day, when the High Summoner came to this ancient of ancient lands. His name was forgotten but his legacy lives on through the stories of time. The land was thrown back into chaos and the guardians were called to wield their weapons once again to save the ones they knew and loved.

Soon the day came for the guardians to face the High Summoner. The guardians faced many perils before reaching their dreaded destination. All to soon they were at the castle of the High Summoner. They stood outside the door and looked at the great dark castle looming ominously before them. The sky around the castle was completely black. If one looked at the castle and the sky at the same time, they wouldnt be able to tell where one began and where the other one ended. Small bolts of silver lighting could be seen every once in awhile striking the black turrets of the castle. The thunder was droned out by the howling of the fierce wind. Jagged obsidian rocks rose from the ground in all angles making the way to the castle extremely difficult.

The Sorceresss long brown hair trembled violently in then ever ending storm that surrounded the castle. She shivered and drew her heavy cloak around her. The Sorceress wore a dark cloak of blue. Under her cloak she wore a different style of clothes then from most sorceresses. Black loose fitting pants that were tucked into worn leather traveling boots, a loose long sleeved white shirt, and over that she wore a bright blue robe that went down her ankles. The robe was cut so that the sleeves stopped right below her shoulder instead of covering her whole arm. Her style of clothing reflected from where she had come from. The young Sorceress came from the freezing North of the ancient land.

To her right was the Earth Master. His shoulder length hair was in tress at the nape of his neck. His yellow straw kasa was hanging from a string around his neck, so he wouldnt lose it because of the strong gusts of wind. He looked at the Sorceress and put his arm around her shoulder. She looked up at him and smiled softly. He smiled back revealing prefect white teeth. He played with her loose hair.

The Sorceress wisphered to the Earth Master as she clutched his other arm, Be careful please. Dont do anything reckless. She fiddled with his sleeve of his kimono. It was made of a soft, light material but it kept anyone who wore it comfortably warm. Bright colors of the flame danced on the kimono. Yellow, orange, and red were all intertwined with each other and made the impression that his clothes were on fire. He wore a band of fabric around his waist that was all black. Crisscrossed across his chest were two cords that held the two swords of his daisho, his katana and his wakizashi. A patch with his coat of arms was on the upper right side on his chest, while a larger patch was on the back of his kimono.

The patch had a dark brown background. In the center of the patch was a dragon type dolphin. It was gold except for its eyes. The eyes were a dark green that seemed to watch you from every angle. Behind the dolphin was the kanji symbol for fire in a flaming crimson red.

The Earth Master wiggled his toes. His straw sandals were starting to annoy him but he wouldnt let his discomfort show. He smiled down on her. I wont if you wont, my dear. He patted her head with his callused hand. The young woman smiled. All the guardians were about the same age, in their early to mid twenties.
The Shape Shifter silently walked up behind them and then said loudly enough to scare the Sorceress and Earth Master, Hiya, love birds. Do you happen to be ready?

Ack! The Sorceress whirled around, preparing to hit the Shape Shifter. Dont do that!

The Shape Shifter laughed merrily. Though the Sorceress couldnt see the Shape Shifters mouth, she knew that her friend was smiling at her. Do what? Sneak up behind you and yell Boo? She shook her cloaked head and looked towards the castle.
The Sorceress glared at the Shape Shifter. Well, yeah, you psychiatric person.

The Shape Shifter laughed again. Her eyes shone brightly with cheerfulness though they were surrounded by darkest. Look whos talking! The Sorceress glared at the dark shadowy figure that was laughing her head off.

The Shape Shifter wore a black light fabric cloak that seemed to come from everywhere. Where it seemed to end and began again into a different fold. The black on the cloak was blackest of all blacks. It seemed to go on forever. The black cloak also had a hidden power. By the Shape Shifters will, the cloak would conceal her anywhere where she was. The young Shape Shifter came from the tropical jungle plateau of the South.

With a slight popping sound, the Shape Shifter quickly changed into a magnificent, colossal, black hawk. Though her body may changed its shape, the only things that remained the same about the young woman was the color of her feathers and her deepest of blue eyes. Silver flecks dotted in the dark blue iris. Making an effect of looking into the sky right before it turned into the blackest of night.

She let out a small, sharp cry and flew up into the air, disappearing among the blackest of the clouds and castle.
Evil Mumbled the Sorceress turning back to the Earth Master. She saw that he was smiling softly. Oh, what now?
You two are amusing to watch. He replied simply and looked at the colossal wood doors of the castle. How to get in
The Sorceress heard a soft clang of metal sticking against rock from behind her. She whirled around with her staff in hand. Whos there?

An elf popped up onto a rock. Just me. Replied the Archer, the final companion of this group. He held his bow loosely in his left hand while his other hand rested on his leg. His tattered jungle green cape blew around in the wind. His crystal blue almond shaped eyes watched the area for danger. With his superior eye sight and hearing, he was the ideal back guard.
The young Sorceress called out to him, Do you see anything up there?

The elf shook his head. Not at the moment. He swung his head towards the castle and snatched up an arrow. He notched his arrow and pulled back the string preparing to kill an object in the dark sky.

The Earth Master looked around, seeing nothing. He looked towards his friend. What is it? The Archer stood unwavering on the rock as his eyes followed an object gliding in the shadowy sky above them. He let go of the taut sting and the arrow flew towards the object he had seen. A load squawk was heard then a bolt dart came zooming towards the Archers head. Uh-oh
A loud annoyed voice filled his mind, You jerk! What do you think youre doing!? The black dart landed on his head and started yanking off his pointy ears.

AHHH! The Archer flailed his arms around his head trying to get the blank hawk off his head. I THOUGHT YOU WERE A CREATURE OF THE DARKNESS! OW, OW, OW, OW!

The hawk pecked his head. Do you think the High Summoner would use a measly hawk for his evil tasks?! The hawk dug her talons into his scalp.

The Archer dove on the ground. The hawk gracefully flew off his head and landed on his back. IM SORRY! DONT KILL ME!!

This is only a page and half. I have four pages worth of work so far but I don't wanna post it all at one time. Little by Little will the Prologue piece together. Hehehe! Tell me what ya think, if you so Wish!
