Would You Miss Me?

If one day I was gone would you have missed me all along?
Would you miss my smile or my laugh?
Perhaps how I silently sat in class?
Maybe my silly, nonsense sayings?
Then again would you miss my optimism?
If you were never a good friend, would you still care for me in the end?
Do you mock me and regret having doing it now?
Why must you notice everything good when it ends?
Why can't you see it when it all begins?
Life is a long, winding road.
Sometimes curves get in your way.
Sometimes the curves just won't go away.
How do you make things the best?
How can you beat those curves like all the rest?
Take in heart of all the good around you.
Let it judge everything you do.
Life just is too short to let it all be thrown away.
Never Will We Learn

The days seem long,
though life is brief.
Not everyone gets along.
Life is a fallen leaf.
Havoc rages.
Hate avenges.
Such is the world's way,
Never will it go away.
Such sadness this all brings,
softly the death bell rings.
Time goes by...
Leaving only wars to rise.
Darkness engulfs all.
Everything is falling.
Everything is failing.
Such is our deceitful way.
It will always stay.
Life is brief,
a gentle fallen leaf.
Our stories take but a page,
they are passed down from age to age.
Never will we learn,
wars don't solve anything.
Never will we learn,
how to agree.
This is our human way.
Forever it will stay...
